What Women Really Think: Honest Insights from Our Pleasure Survey
Share
When we asked 63 women to share their thoughts about self-pleasure and sex toys, we didn’t expect uniform answers — but what we found was both honest and empowering: curiosity, hesitation, and the shared desire to understand ourselves better.
Even today, pleasure is often treated as a quiet, private subject. Many women have explored it, but few feel comfortable talking about it openly. Our survey revealed that this silence doesn’t come from disinterest — it comes from uncertainty, from years of being told that pleasure should stay hidden.
At AVELA, we believe it’s time to change that.
🌸 What the Numbers Reveal
Our survey included 63 women aged between their early 20s and late 30s, coming from diverse backgrounds. The findings were both surprising and comforting — a reflection of how modern women view their bodies and desires.
-
76% of participants have used a sex toy at least once.
-
Nearly 40% said they felt unsure or shy when buying their first one.
-
When asked what type of vibrator they prefer or are most interested in:
-
57% chose clitoral vibrators (external use)
-
31% preferred dual or combined vibrators (both internal and external use)
-
6% leaned toward G-spot vibrators (internal use only)
-
A small group said they were not sure yet or beginners.
-
Around 70% expressed a desire to learn more about material safety, cleaning, and choosing the right toy.
These results show one thing clearly: women are curious, thoughtful, and eager to understand what feels good — but often lack open, trustworthy spaces to talk about it.
💬 What Women Told Us
Beyond numbers, what stood out were the emotions — curiosity, self-consciousness, discovery, and confidence.
“I wanted to try, but I didn’t know where to start.”
“The first time felt strange. The second time felt like freedom.”
“I wish there was more honest information — not just ads.”
Behind each response was a woman learning to listen to her own needs.
Pleasure, as it turns out, is not only physical — it’s emotional, educational, and deeply personal.
🌿 Why This Conversation Matters
We talk openly about skincare, fitness, and mental health — yet when it comes to sexual wellness, many still fall silent.
But pleasure is part of wellbeing. It’s about connection, not performance; confidence, not comparison.
Understanding how your body responds, what feels safe, and how to take care of your toys isn’t indulgence — it’s self-respect.
When we start to normalize this topic, we take it out of the shadows and bring it into everyday wellbeing.
And when we talk, we learn. When we learn, we grow more confident — in our bodies and in ourselves.

💗 A Final Thought
Pleasure isn’t a luxury. It’s a language — one that starts between you and yourself.
The more we listen, learn, and share, the more natural it becomes.
At AVELA, we believe that every woman deserves to feel safe, curious, and empowered in her own journey of pleasure — with no shame, no pressure, and no apologies.
Sometimes, the first step toward confidence begins with a single question:
“What do I actually like?”
